Minnesota McCracken posted an update
9 months, 2 weeks agoI’m Minnesota McCracken, My story as told by my poppy. Minn was 14 months old when she came home. She was a rescue from abuse and neglect. She was a blank slate, an idle canvas and void of worldly experiences. She had been kept isolated in a dog run and fed nothing more than kibbles. This was January 2022. When, on our first meeting, she got out of the girl’s car and she hit the end of her leash…she whimpered out of pain. She was wearing an inverted spiked collar which her skin had grown around. Minn is an exceptionally intelligent and a quick study. Her intelligence is such that when she is given choices she understands (ex: you eat…you go swim. you no eat…you stay home. pullers go home). Of course, higher Intel brings out the stubborness and the apologist. She has depth of character and a distinct personality. Though she suffers separation anxiety in the absence of her Poppy she never exhibites any negative behavior. She is a well trained service dog. A true gift of God! Her Poppy does not use treats or lures in her training. Her treat comes after she completes the total training session otherwise her on going rewards are verbal. Her language comprehension is huge. Her disposition is positive and she is gentle. Her REM is filled with activity and her spirit always looking to explore new activities. She is loved by those fortunate to be a part of her pack. Like Scooby she has mysteries to investigate and solve. Her newest case; Are goats mystical #NewBarkerInThePack 🐶 Old German Shepherd Dog
